Advantages of Brush belts:
Brush belts have their own field of application, because of its unique shape. The brush belt can be used perfectly for cleaning tasks; all sorts of surfaces can be cleaned. Even when the surface is heavily smeared they prove to be very useful. Besides cleaning the belts are also suitable for transporting and guiding fragile products, slowing down and supporting. An advantage of brush belts is that they can be placed axial in regard to the product. There are three different types of brush belts.
The V-string is made out of a core from polyethane or rubber with a canvas layer. This belt is very suitable for small measurements. The width and the height are standard measures but for making sure it fits, “pulleys” are also delivered with the brush. The length determines whether extra support is necessary in order to position the belt well. An advantage of this brush belt is that it can be used for all types of standard V-Strings. Plus, it is available both with no end and on a roll.
The core of a flat brush belt is made out of chrome leather (with or without strengthened synthetic). In this fixed form a large width is possible. If necessary, the bottom can be equipped with steering strings. Each desired width can be made up to 300 mm. It can be delivered with no end or on a roll. A difference with the V-string belt is that the filling of a flat brush can be more closed of fuller.
The toothed brush belts are made out of polyurethane. These belts are driven by toothed belt discs. This type of brush belt is mainly used when products need to be positioned of transferred. The great advantage of the toothed belt is the timing. The belt runs over toothed “pulleys” which causes no slip but guarantees correct timing. Therefore the speed of rotation can be adjusted precisely up to 6 m/s.
