The main causes of static electricity are friction, pressure and separation. The consequences of static electricity can cause interruptions in the industry. It can lead to a slow production process and increase the production costs. In order to make sure the process goes smoothly, it is necessary to control the static electricity and prevent it. KOTI antistatic brushes can be of service to this. These brushes are frequently used in copy machines, ATM's, cutting machines, printing press, laminating machines and paper cardboard manufacturing.

  • Our solution

KOTI’s objective is to control or prevent static electricity. The antistatic brushes make sure that the created static is carried off continuously. We have developed many different brushes and these brushes exist mostly out of an aluminum or synthetic conductive core in which the bundles of filling, such as carbon fiber, steel or thunderon, are pressed. These fibers do not need to be in contact with the charged product, which causes no wear or scratches on the product. The static is discharged without any sparks resulting in less friction. In many cases this is a very simple and interesting technical solution.

Does static charge start in your production process?, because you use brushes with no-conductive characteristics? Then it is a logical to switch to conductive fibers. For this we have developed the Stalon fiber. This conductive fiber makes sure that the static charge is avoided when brushing an object.

Besides carrying off static charge, our conductive brushes can be used for applying static charge. This is an option when you want materials to stick temporarily together. Static charge is often used in the printing industry in order to keep magazines together so that they form a neat pile when being bundled or to keep materials together whilst laminating.
